Butterfly Shimai is a mahjong game in which you must connect the matching wings so that these colorful creatures can flutter away. This tile-matching game is the sequel to the online classic Butterfly Kyodai, with a beautiful new color palette and visually pleasing special effects.
How to play Butterfly Shimai?
Can you spot the matching pairs of wings in this puzzle game? You can combine them by tapping two of the same kind. However, the wings can only be matched if a connecting line can be drawn between them. This line may turn no more than two corners, and cannot pass through any other wings.
Look around the edges of the board to see if there are wings you can select and combine. You can also look for identical pairs placed next to each other on the board. By matching up the wings and letting the butterflies fly away, you’ll clear space on the board to create new mahjong combinations.
What does Butterfly Shimai mean?
The original game was called Butterfly Kyodai, and the word kyodai means ‘brothers’ in Japanese. Shimai means ‘sisters’, and so the title of this game translates to Butterfly Sisters.
