How to play Zen Solitaire?

The aim of this game is to sort all of the playing cards by number and suit (diamonds, hearts, spades, and clubs). The cards are laid out in seven columns. This part of the table is called the tableau. All the remaining cards are in the spare cards stack.

Above the tableau, you’ll see four empty cells. You can place any ace here, and start counting up by suit: A-2-3-4 and so forth, all the way to 10-jack-queen-king.

In the tableau, you can also stack the cards, but you can only do this in descending order (from king to ace) and by alternation the red and black cards.

When you cannot move any cards, turn over the top card of the spare cards stack and see if you can use it. Keep going until you’ve sorted all of the cards. When you have completed the game, the auto-sort function kicks in to tidy up any remaining cards.

Tap the plus-icon at the bottom of the screen to replay the current game or start a new game. The “Magic” button allows you to draw one random face down card from any stack on the tableau.
